Goodbye

I just want to say, I'm going on haitus for a wee while.
I've been diagnosed with depression and everything just seems a little rubbish :(

BUT I promise you this... I will be back, bigger and better.
I will have blonde hair, my own flat, I will be proper vintage, I will have awesome makeup and photos, a great blog and get lots of followers.

I will still be following all my lovely ladies intently.

I'm Back :)

I have been away for the weekend, and in the run up pretty much everything in my life got put on hold because I was so excited. I've still been getting very dismayed at my lack of money, and to be honest due to my insecurities I almost feel unfit to be on here, as how can someone be vintage or even attempt to explore it adequately when completely and utterly.... broke.

I still make my attempts, and sometimes it prevails... but I am just longing for swing dresses, circles skirts and the like! It's really annoying to have to wear the same skirt over and over because it looks a bit vintage and whatnot.

Anyway on Father's Day my hair looked nice... here's a pic:



and my outfit was not all that bad. Like I say, nothing vintage but I still try. Also, I forgot I owned those shoes and discovered them for the first time in a year that day :)




I was away down in my old hometown this weekend, but I needn't show you the photos from it because, quite frankly, I think I looked hideous. It doesn't help all my friends are devastatingly gorgeous. Being down did however, confirm that my beau and I will be moving back down there when I'm finished with my degree.
I miss my sister so much! I will need to attempt to get a photo of her on here at some point, but I'd prefer if it was one of us together- and they aren't that brilliant currently.

Oh also, it would be greatly appreciated if somebody could give me a tip on how to get more followers!!!!!

Back-dated Photos

So I have been thinking, my style recently is very vintage-inspired (as I only have one vintage dress!)- I do plan to own ONLY vintage clothes one day (fingers crossed) but I have so much to think about recently money wise I won't be able to do so for years :'(

So I would love to know if people actually prefer authentic vintage to vintage-inspired or vintage-modern styles? I know there will be many different opinions but I'm intrigued as to what people lean toward more and why.... maybe it's not so easy to find vintage clothes in your area?

ANYWAY.... I have some photos to put up to show my point...





In these photos is where I feel I look very authentic, though the only item in them are my pearls.










this is me on a day I pin-curled my hair and wrapped it. The curls turned out disastrously, but it looks nice even just like that :P























This is me the most recent bank holiday Monday, when we went to the beach with my parents and dog... I got so sunburnt. When the day started my hair did look lovely but the humidity and wind got to it and it turned out like that....

anyway you see my point.

I also have a request today lovelies- I need a beginniners guide to Golden Era music! Hit me!
Oh and has anyone listened to 'The Baseballs'? If not- LOOK THEM UP :D

Quick Post

my life has been so hectic recently- bank holiday, family moving, painting a big fence, spending time with friends, looking for a flat, baking for numerous birthdays.

all of the above are excuses to why I haven't posted in a while.
I don't really have anything recent newsworthy or picture worthy to offer but I'll see if I can rustle something up later.

New Pretty Blog :D

I have been fiddling this morning with blog backgrounds and such and have settled on this one :)
I like it so now I just have to fill it up with equally pretty posts.
My exams have just finished (YAY) so I will finally be blogging a lot more, and I will try and get some nice outfit posts and such- although I will warn you my wardrobe is not very expansive in terms of vitage pieces, so bear with me until I earn some money :)

Anyway, I have an exciting day of cleaning ahead of me- Ta-rah!!

Hooray!

I finally have a follower :) Thank you Ruby's Attic!

Well today, in a bid to procrastinate from further revision for my exam tomorrow, I played with my hair for an hour, and ended up with this:





That is, 2 Victory rolls and a pin curl. I was feeling random.
In a bid to make myself feel better (only 12pm and already one of THOSE days) I got all dressed and did my makeup... yay :)
